Marshfield senior Oscar Day shot a round of 7-over-par 77 to lead the Marshfield golf teams in the first day of the OSAA State Tournament on Monday.
Playing at the Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Day finished the first of two rounds in the top 10 to lead the Marshfield boys.
Sophomore Kody Chandler shot a round of 90 and is tied for 32nd, freshman Enoch Niblett shot 94 and is in 38th place and sophomore Eli Luckman and freshman Mason Aurdahl each shot rounds of 99 and are tied for 45th.
North Bend sophomore Owen Bascom fired a round of 70 to lead the field after the first round. The final round will take place today in Corvallis.
On the girl’s side, sophomore Bella Roberts shot a round of 90 to sit in 14th place to lead the Pirates.
Sophomores Shay Herzog and Analise McCord finished at 96 and are tied for 28th place while freshman Ava Gauthier had a round of 116 and senior Emily Ryan had a round of 117.
Marist Catholic junior Esha Reddy leads all golfers with an opening round of 70.
