Principal's Message

Monday, June 3, 2024

Hello Buccaneer Families,

The end of the 2023-2024 school year is rapidly coming to an end.  There have been a lot of positives this year at Marshfield Junior High, and of course, many opportunities for growth.  We are grateful for the support from our families and I want to extend a thank you to our community and to our teachers and support staff for providing a safe and welcoming environment for our students.

June 11th will be the 8th grade end of the year trip to Laverne Park.  Students will be given a permission slip the week of June 3rd.  Please return by the end of the week.

On June 10th and 11th, students will begin to turn in their chrome books.  Please help to recover those infamous chargers that seem to have found their way to other locations.  We really want to avoid sending out charges for lost or broken equipment.

Schedules for the next school year will be available from Marshfield High School and MJHS at the fall registration.  Those dates will also be sent out in early summer.

Finally, Marshfield Junior High will be offering a summer school program from August 5th – August 22nd.  Included in this program is a three-day science enrichment program at the South Slough.  However, students must register for the full weeks of summer school in order to attend the South Slough enrichment.  Summer school will focus on math, science, and enrichment opportunities.  Transportation and lunch will be provided.  If interested, please email me by Wednesday, June 12th – [email protected]

Thank you and have a wonderful summer.  Go Bucs!

Mr. Montiel
