Dear Buccaneer Families,

We want to officially congratulate our students, parents, and community on a fantastic and deeply rewarding school year. As we transition into the quieter days of summer, the administration, teachers, and staff want to express our immense gratitude for your partnership, resilience, and hard work. Junior high is a time of rapid growth, and we are incredibly proud of the academic, social, and emotional strides our students made this year.

Summer vacation is a vital time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. However, it is also a great opportunity to keep young minds active. Below, we have outlined a few key updates, reminders, and resources to help everyone stay connected and prepare for the upcoming school year.

· Summer Enrichment: We highly encourage students to visit local libraries and read for pleasure. Engaging with books, current events, or educational apps prevents summer learning loss. In addition, our math tool Success Maker will be available throughout June and July. The South Slough also has some fun educational activities this summer. You can find these online.

· Office Summer Hours: The junior high main office is now closed and will reopen mid-August.

· Registration information to be aware of:

8/19 is for 8th grade students—9:00am-2:00pm

8/20 is for 7th grade students—9:00am-2:00pm

Come at the time of your last name:

A-B, 9:00am C-F, 9:30am G-K, 10:00am L-M, 10:30am N-R, 1:00pm S-Z, 1:30pm

· The first day for 7th graders is September 8. This will be a day to help you become familiar and more comfortable with your new school. The first day for 8th graders will be on September 9.

Have a great summer and GO BUCS!!!
