Principal's Message

Welcome to the 24-25 school year.  The staff at MJHS is looking forward to a year of continued academic growth and is committed to providing a fantastic educational experience.  A special thanks to our custodial and maintenance crews for their work this summer in getting the building back into first day of school shape.  Yes, we are only a few years old and the tidying up isn’t as extensive, but it is noticeable and much appreciated.

This year we welcome new faces to the staff, and we are excited to have them as part of the MJHS community.

Kenneth Lehrer – Educational Assistant
Melissa Green – Educational Assistant
Madeline Thurman – Educational Assistant
Sarah Crawford – SLC Teacher
Blake Sentman – Physical Education
Missi Aurdahl – English Language Arts
Sydnie Zeeryp – Social Studies
Willie Giger – Math

Tuesday, September 3rd is the first day of school for 7th graders only.  Students will be on a special schedule as part of their orientation day.  On Wednesday, September 4th both grades return.

General Information:
• Doors open at 7:40am
• At drop off, do not enter the bus lane (the lane closest to the school).  Students will be dropped off at the first parking lot lane.
• At pick up, please do not enter the parking lot.  This congests traffic for release of buses.  Arrangements need to be made with your child for a designated pick up spot on 7th, Golden, or a nearby street. • Students that are walking need to use the crosswalk at the corner of Golden and 7th.
• The parent/student handbook is located on the school website or click on the link below.  The students will be going over the handbook in their BAT classes.  Please read to learn about our expectations and procedures. MJHSStudentHandbook2425.docx

We are here to help this be a successful year in all facets of the junior high experience.  Communication is a key factor.  Please reach out by phone, REMIND (soon to be Parent Square), or email if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments.

Let’s have a great year!  Go Bucs!
