It has been a fantastic yet challenging first year at Marshfield Junior High. Opening a new school during a global pandemic certainly had its obstacles, but the students and staff learned so much together and here we are standing strong in June.
I want to thank our wonderful staff for their work this year. Their dedication to their craft is certainly noticeable as is their genuine care for the well-being of our students.
A big thank you also to our parents. I appreciate your flexibility and patience as we navigated the waters of a new learning community. We have set a foundation and will only get better as we move to year two at MJHS.
A final thanks to our students. They have persevered and done some remarkable things. It was so great to have some return to normal activities to end the year including band and choir concerts, assemblies in the gym, and a very fun and well-attended school dance. We wish nothing but the best for the Class of 2026 as they head up the big stairs to MHS next year. They have made history as the first 8th grade class at Marshfield Junior High School.
This school year ends on Wednesday, June 15th. Grades will be posted by Friday and can be seen on StudentVue and ParentVue, and will be mailed home the following week. In cooperation with the South Slough, we are happy to offer three sessions of a Middle School Science Camp in July and August. Information can be found on our school website. On Site registration will take place in Mid-August. Packets will be sent home in early August and information can be located on our website.
I wish everyone a safe and fun summer vacation. The rest is well-deserved. We will see you all soon.
